One step at a time

All the beginnings seem equally as difficult as the endings. Our trip started with lots of drama, a meltdown and "oh, how I do not want to go away".
For a moment I thought that maybe it is a mistake, my ambitious plan to show the world to my 18 year old selfish son may be a ticket to failure, still we managed to get on the plane, one breath and one step at the time. Yes, indeed, a long journey starts with small steps. And we took our first stambling ones. May we be lucky and may the force take us far and away into new adventures.

A bridge between here and there

Sunday morning lounging on my deck, a pleasant breeze caressing me carries the sweet smell of gardenia blossoms. I am in a place of absolute calm and voluptuous luxury, a safe place in a world full of turmoil and uncertainty.
Yet, it is for this turmoil that I am curious, and in a few days I am heading towards it.
Life is good in the little bubble I reside, but real life is left out.
So I am off to a long term residency, outside the domesticated paradise.
Because as the Steppenwolf sang, we are born to be wild.
